Destinations — The Texas Lakes We Fish

Every Texas Bass Adventures trip is built around the best public bass water in the state, and most trips combine two or more lakes so we can chase the bite wherever it's hottest. Our destinations fall into two regions — pick a single lake or let us build a multi-lake package around your dates.

1. South & West Texas Trophy Lakes

These massive reservoirs are internationally famous for giant, double-digit "hawgs" and heavy five-fish tournament limits — the trips people take when a personal-best largemouth is the goal.

• Lake Falcon (Zapata) — An 83,654-acre Rio Grande reservoir with one of the meanest, hardest-fighting largemouth populations in North America, and your single best shot anywhere at a double-digit. The lake record is 15.63 lbs, and Falcon stays productive even in the summer heat that shuts most lakes down, with an explosive topwater-frog and deep-cranking bite. Fished entirely on the Texas side — a smarter, safer alternative to a Mexico trip.
• Lake O.H. Ivie (Voss) — Texas's premier ShareLunker factory, producing 13-to-17-pound giants that draw trophy hunters from around the world. Roughly 19,000 acres of prime structure; we launch at Elm Creek Marina, and winter through spring is the window for the biggest fish of your life. Two-day minimum.
• Lake Amistad (Del Rio) — A crystal-clear, deep-water canyon reservoir offering exceptional deep-structure and ledge fishing against a backdrop of spectacular vertical rock walls. A scenic, technical lake where big bass relate to offshore structure.
• Choke Canyon Reservoir (Three Rivers) — A heavy-cover paradise where 40-pound tournament stringers and 25-to-50-fish days are common, set among dense aquatic vegetation and native South Texas wildlife (including massive American alligators). Note: currently running low — check availability when you book.

2. Central Texas & Austin Highland Lakes

Ideal for fast-paced multi-lake trips, family outings and corporate adventures — all within easy reach of downtown Austin.

• Lake Austin (Austin) — A world-class, constant-level fishery whose rich milfoil and hydrilla beds shelter massive double-digit bass right beside urban docks. The lake record stands at 16.03 lbs — a genuine big-fish sleeper in the middle of the city.
• Lake Travis (Austin) — The ultimate destination for high-volume catching, diverse underwater structure, and introducing young anglers to the sport. Travis produces big numbers of active fish alongside a rising population of quality 4-to-5-pound bass — a great family and beginner lake.
• Inks Lake (Burnet) — A scenic 831-acre Highland lake holding a largemouth record of 13.40 lbs, plus striped bass, white bass and native Guadalupe bass. It sits inside Inks Lake State Park, which is where we normally launch.
• Lake Buchanan (Burnet) — A massive 22,211-acre Highland lake with a historic largemouth record of 11.73 lbs, and a premier destination for hybrid bass, striped bass and white bass action as well.
• Lake LBJ (Kingsland) — A premium, constant-level lake that fishes shallow year-round. Excellent milfoil cover makes it perfect for targeting quality largemouth, native Guadalupe bass, and aggressive catfish and crappie.
