Lake Amistad can be one of the best lakes around with some pretty big largemouth bass caught through the years here. The best year ever for this lake was in 2009, where you could easily catch over 100 bass daily and sometimes over 200. I don't know if those days will ever come back but this lake still remains strong and there's always a good chance at a giant. In tournaments, there are still impressive bags weighed in and those can exceed 30 pounds.
